Georgia Power is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its Commercial Energy Efficiency program in 2016. Since its launch in 2011, the program has helped thousands of commercial customers save money and energy through consultations and resources with additional rebates for incorporating energy efficiency improvements.

Owners at Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry, California, expect recently completed infrastructure upgrades to generate first-year savings of more than $540,000 in energy and operational costs, including nearly $343,000 in energy costs and on top of that, nearly $203,000 additional in operational savings.
Optimism remains high that the federal government will extend existing tax credits beyond 2016, and local utilities and state governments will start (or continue) offering incentives to encourage homeowners to invest in GHPs.

Bluestone Energy Services LLC, a leader in energy conservation engineering and services for a variety of sectors including industrial and retail, has announced plans for a significant company expansion that includes the physical footprint of its Norwell corporate headquarters and an increase in staff.
The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has approved an increase in rebates offered through the California Solar Initiative (CSI)-Thermal Program of up to 45 percent. CPUC authorized the higher rebates to help boost adoption of solar water heating technology and encourage involvement in the statewide program.
Lime Energy Co. announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract by AEP Ohio, a unit of American Electric Power, for the implementation of its Small Business Direct Install Program. The AEP Ohio program provides significant incentives to help offset the costs of implementing energy efficiency upgrades.
Consumers Energy announced that it awarded nearly $3.7 million in incentives to commercial and industrial customers in the third quarter of 2012 to help fund 996 energy efficiency projects that will provide long-term savings.
