Electric Co-op Installs Fuel Cell
September 19, 2002
Flint Energies, a Georgia electric co-op, has installed a fuel cell system to provide heat and electricity at its service center facility in Warner Robins. The 5-kW fuel cell, manufactured by Plug Power Inc. (Latham, NY), was reportedly installed and commissioned in less than four days.
“This sale to Flint Energies is important because it puts our system into a new area of the country with a new customer that will allow us to continue to learn and improve our system designs,” said Plug Power president and CEO Roger Saillant.
