BRUSSELS, Belgium - At an alternative refrigerant conference here, York International Corporation outlined technologies that could help the food and beverage industry move toward HFC-free cooling. The international conference, called "Refrigerants, Naturally," was sponsored by McDonald's Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company, and Unilever Ice Cream.
"Our global reach and broad-based experience in both air conditioning and refrigeration applications allows us to design alternatives for HFC-free environments," noted Alexander Cohr Pachai, senior engineer, York International. "We've had a strong business relationship with McDonald's since 1992 in North America, South America, Western Europe, and the Middle East. And, we have worked with them in many climates and under many different sets of national and local codes and laws."
