NAFTA Report Calls For Carbon Trading And Renewable Energy
The Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) was established by Canada, Mexico, and the United States to build cooperation in implementing the environmental measures in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). A new report by the CEC examines the environmental impacts of the electricity market.
The report, called Environmental Challenges and Opportunities of the Evolving North American Electricity Market, provides recommendations on how the NAFTA partners can ensure the full economic and environmental benefits of an integrated, continental market.
