Six energy-efficient, solar-powered homes are to be built in Atlantic City, NJ, primarily with gambling revenues. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has announced that six homes in the Millennia Square neighborhood, developed by the authority, will “approach a zero net utility cost to homeowners.”

The authority was established by the state in 1984 to use a portion of gambling revenues for projects that revitalize Atlantic City and other areas of the state.
