Philadelphia office building liberated from high costs
PHILADELPHIA — At the center of a city known for freedom, the owners of a 20-story office tower were liberated from high energy costs, thanks in-part to new mechanical equipment and controls from Carrier Corp., Syracuse, N.Y.
The upgrade to the cooling system for 1515 Market St., a 40-year-old, mixed-use structure owned by West World Management, Inc., Purchase, N.Y., was completed in 1997 with the installation of new chillers and sophisticated controls.
