AMCA, Chinese Organization Join for Collaborative Venture
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA) and the Beijing Chinese Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association Quality Certification Center Co. Ltd. (CRAAQCC) entered into a memo of understanding (MOU) for a collaborative venture. The CRAAQCC will be AMCA's sole agent in China authorized to communicate with licensees, potential licensees, specifiers, members, and potential members regarding the Certified Ratings Program (CRP). Pete Neitzel, AMCA president, and Yang Yan-ru, CRAAQCC president, signed the MOU agreement.
"This is a second MOU agreement instituted by AMCA within a six month period," said Barbara Morrison, AMCA's executive director, citing November 2005, when AMCA had previously signed a collaborative agreement with Korea MPI in a similar venture. The current signing took place April 11, opening day of the Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration (AHR) China Expo in Shanghai, China.
