CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - At the Texas Industrial Vocational Association (TIVA) conference here, HVACR educators were offered an opportunity to begin the process of taking their credentialing exams.
Federally legislated "No Child Left Behind" (NCLB) objectives require educator credentialing, a process where educators take specialized exams that demonstrate subject matter competency. In order to assure that educators are properly credentialed, the Texas Education Agency and Texas A&M University reviewed and approved the HVAC Excellence Certified Master HVAC Educator (CMHE) program for HVACR instructors. This approval allowed TIVA attendees to begin the process of taking their credentialing exams.
