Corning Receives Incentive For Building Energy-Efficient Facility
CORNING, N.Y. - Under a program sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), Corning Inc. is implementing several energy-efficiency measures in its newly constructed diesel manufacturing facility in Erwin, N.Y. Corning anticipates that the measures will result in a reduction of electrical energy consumption of approximately 905,000 kWh per year, or a savings of $38,000 annually.
Corning qualified for $266,240 in financial incentives toward the building's energy-efficiency measures as part of the NYSERDA program. Incentives were tied to the installation of nine separate measures including HVAC upgrades and the installation of low-E argon filled windows.
