WESTFIELD, Mass. - Smith Cast Iron Boilers will warm the home of a family in need with its donation of a new Smith GV 100 Series boiler to Habitat for Humanity in Providence, R.I. This was the latest of several boilers the company has donated to the nonprofit organization, whose mission is to eliminate poverty housing in Rhode Island by building homes, improving housing conditions in the city, and strengthening communities.
"Habitat for Humanity is built on the model of people helping people," said Rick Riccardi, construction coordinator at Habitat Providence. "Through their charitable contributions to the organization and to the families who Habitat services, Smith Cast Iron Boilers helps make our dream of providing affordable housing for families in need a reality. We hope their great example of generosity will inspire other companies to donate their products or services to this worthy cause."
