Connecticut Contractors Install Free Boiler For Military Family
NEW HARTFORD, Conn. — The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Connecticut chapter provided a wife of a National Guardsman serving in Kuwait with a “warm-hearted” gift: the free installation of a new boiler.
After a leak in the old boiler flooded the basement of Robert and Frances Slater on April 5, both Slaters spent the week arranging — both in the U.S. and Kuwait — to have it repaired. Mrs. Slater hired Walt Woycik (W.J. Woycik Plumbing & Heating, Mystic, Conn.) to install the boiler at a cost of up to $5,000.
