ARLINGTON, Va. - Edward W. Dooley has retired as vice president of communications and education at the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), following 12 years with the trade association representing manufacturers of more than 90 percent of North American-produced central air conditioning and commercial refrigeration equipment.
In his role as spokesperson for ARI, Dooley was frequently quoted in trade journals and the consumer media. He authored a number of articles on the HVACR industry and published annual reports on the phaseout of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigerant chillers used for comfort cooling in buildings.
