The SK3W Series Three Wire Hard Start Kit is available in three versions with varying capacitor sizes designed for standard compressors and two versions for scroll compressors. The manufacturer states that the hard-start kits can be used for any single-phase air conditioning or refrigeration unit and feature an instant restart. According to the manufacturer, kits are easy to install because of their “fast clamp-on” connection; if the “fast clamp-on” connection isn’t suitable for the wire size, cut it and use the wire nut that is included for the connection.
