CPTherm™ Series heat transfer fluids are developed for low-temperature applications between -70° to 150°F. The fluids are aqueous and free of methanol and glycol, so they don't have a flashpoint and are safe to work with, says the manufacturer. The CPTherm F-Series is designed for use as a secondary coolant and operates in low-temperature applications such as ice rinks, food storage, and blast cooling. The CPTherm G-Series is designed for use in residential and institutional geothermal systems. According to the manufacturer, the G-Series is an alternative to glycol because of its improved performance and heat transfer capacity. The heat transfer fluids are available as a concentrate for use at various strengths, depending on the application, as well as pre-diluted and ready to use.
