WASHINGTON — The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has introduced a new site-specific targeting (SST) plan that will target approximately 3,200 high-hazard worksites for unannounced comprehensive safety and health inspections over the coming year.
The program went into effect on June 16 and covers about 3,200 worksites on a primary list that have reported 14 or more injuries and illnesses that resulted in lost work days or restricted activity for every 100 full-time workers (known as the LWDII rate).
