ALBANY, NY — In an effort to save approximately $425,000 in annual energy costs, the Oswego City School District teamed up with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Siemens Building Technologies to install energy-efficient lighting and motors in 10 school buildings.
The school district is participating in NYSERDA’s Commercial/Industrial Performance Program, which is providing $133,337 for lighting and motor upgrades. NYSERDA’s contribution is part of a $4.6 million project that also includes new energy-efficient windows and a building control system.
