ROSSLYN, VA — The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) celebrated its 75th anniversary on Jan. 5, 2001.
NEMA was created in the fall of 1926 by the merger of the Electric Power Club and the Associated Manufacturers of Electrical Supplies. The purpose of the organization has been to provide a forum for the standardization of electrical equipment, enabling consumers to select from a range of safe, effect, and comparable electrical products.
