AUGUSTA, ME — Maine hvacr contractors and engineers looking to help commercial customers fund efficiency improvements may want to contact a utility here. Central Maine Power Co. says it is encouraging business customers to apply for a recently expanded program that pays customers to save electricity through approved energy-efficiency projects.
The Energy Efficiency Incentive Program credits customers’ accounts for up to 25% of the cost of an approved energy-efficiency project, based on energy savings, the utility said. Eligible projects can include lighting, climate control, processing improvements, and other measures that boost the efficiency of electricity use.
