ATLANTA, GA — Detailed information on the envelop, lighting, and mechanical sections of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning’s (ASHRAE’s) energy conservation standard will be presented in a satellite broadcast on Oct. 30, 2001 at noon Eastern time.
ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-1999, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, provides minimum requirements for the energy-efficient design of buildings.
The broadcast, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Building Standards and Guidelines Program, is a follow-up to a 90.1 broadcast held last September, which had more than 2,000 viewers. The top comments received on the evaluation forms asked for more details and separate broadcasts for each topic area.
