ATLANTA, GA — An addendum deleting mention of “a moderate amount of smoking” from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ (ASHRAE’s) ventilation standard has been approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Addendum e to ASHRAE Standard 62-1999, “Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality,” removes a statement that the key table of ventilation requirements in the standard accommodates “a moderate amount of smoking.”
