MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Honeywell International last week reported lower-than-expected earnings per share for the second quarter and announced that it would eliminate up to 6,000 jobs worldwide. The company also reduced its earnings estimates for the year.
Although second-quarter earnings per share, to be officially announced on July 18, are up 14% compared to 1999, they fell $0.03 per share short of expectations.
