EGIA Foundation Announces 2021 Class of HVAC Scholarship Winners
Fifteen students who embody the EGIA Foundation’s mission were selected as winners for 2021-22 academic year
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The EGIA Foundation announced its fourth annual class of HVAC scholarship recipients. Fifteen scholarships of $2,500 apiece are being awarded to students who are studying HVAC-related careers at trade schools, community colleges, and other accredited institutions during the 2021-22 academic year. A judging panel of industry professionals selected the final recipients based on financial need, academic merit, and career aspirations of the applicants.
The EGIA Foundation began the scholarship program in order to attract more talented, hard-working young adults into the HVAC industry’s workforce – a means of helping to reverse the ongoing workforce shortage. To date, the Foundation has awarded $180,000 to help educate the HVAC industry’s future workforce, including this year’s distribution of $37,500. The EGIA Foundation is proud to continue removing financial barriers to ensure talented, future industry workers can pursue HVAC career paths regardless of economic background.
