With enough lead time, long-term goals can help you transform any business operation into a well-oiled machine. 70% of contractors who took our survey reported setting long-term goals focused on company growth, followed closely by sales (64%) and employee engagement and performance (62%). Of the contractors who selected Other (13%), a notable response was setting long-term goals focused on exit/succession plans. The majority of contractors (64%) hope to achieve their long-term business goals between one and five years, which – with the right leadership – should allow ample time to improve any area of focus.
