Fabric Duct Solves HVAC Engineering Challenges for $48 Million Aquatics Center
Fabric duct cuts HVAC material/ labor costs and fast-tracks the project
MORGANTOWN, W.Va — The new $48 million Aquatic Center at Mylan Park (ACMP) is a state-of-the-art indoor pool complex in West Virginia and now stands as one of nation’s most advanced natatorium designs. The 90,000-square-foot complex promises to be a recreation industry role model, because it combines a separate competitive swimming/diving pool and community pool under one roof.
The design team, led by Morgantown firms, general contractor March-Westin Co., and Paradigm Architecture, called on design/build mechanical contractor, A. Durer Inc. (ADI), and its HVAC vendors to help value engineer hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of HVAC-related equipment originally specified for the project.
