enVerid Solves Air Pollution Challenges for Business School in China
HLR technology achieves superior IAQ to boost student performance
SHANGHAI, China — enVerid Systems Inc. announced that the Shanghai-based China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) has achieved superior indoor air quality per the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards, and 80 percent reduction in the utilization of outside air, through the installation of enVerid HLR® (HVAC Load Reduction) modules in its state-of-the-art lecture theater.
enVerid’s HLR technology intelligently captures and cleans indoor air of contaminants, including carbon dioxide (CO2), formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and particulate matter (PM2.5), ensuring superior IAQ to help improve students’ cognitive performance, health, and comfort. HLR uses a patented air treatment and recycling system for HVAC systems, enabling a reduction in the amount of outside air required to ventilate a building, which also saves on HVAC costs. With outdoor air pollution up by 8 percent since 2011, according to the World Health Organization, this is of high importance especially in countries like China, where air pollution has reached critical levels.
