ExakTime Receives Patent for Wireless Field Time Clock
Used by businesses ranging from construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more
LOS ANGELES — ExakTime’s wireless field time clock has been awarded a patent for its unique method of tracking, storing, and sending employee time records from the field to the office automatically via a cellular communication network, allowing management to review records anytime without having to retrieve them from remote job sites.
JobClock Hornet, a battery-powered device with a cellular component configured to collect time stamps and transmit them, was issued patent #9,436,933 by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. The device is encased in military-grade yellow ABS plastic composite to make it weatherproof and mountable at any job site. Since releasing Hornet in 2012, ExakTime said it has sold over 10,000 units and received more than 10.3 million transmissions from businesses ranging from construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more.
