Custom Air Products Achieves Company’s Lowest EMR Safety Measure
EMR rating of .62 said to be among the best in the industry
HOUSTON — Taylor Norris, CEO of Custom Air Products & Services Inc. (CAPS), announced that the company has achieved its lowest ever EMR (experience modification rate), a measure used by insurance companies to indicate a company’s safety performance. A low EMR is achieved, over time, by continued implementation of an effective safety program that eliminates hazards and prevents injuries.
“While everyone cares about safety to some extent or another,” said John Boger, CAPS president, “a company like ours doing business in the commercial and industrial sectors has the added incentive that many of these organizations put such a premium on safety performance that contracts can be lost based solely on poor safety performance. We believe our EMR rating of .62 is among the best in the industry.”
