Final Four Set for MCAA’s Student Chapter Competition
Teams needed to meet requirements to build an eight-story, multi-use building in San Jose, California
ROCKVILLE, Md. — The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has announced the 2015-2016 Student Chapter Competition final four student chapter teams, who will deliver oral presentations of their competition proposals at MCAA 2016.
The teams are: the Rocky Mountain Chapter of MCAA at Colorado State University; Student Chapter of Specialty Contracting (Mechanical/Electrical) at Kennesaw State University; Student Chapter for Mechanical/Electrical Specialty Contracting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and the Wentworth Chapter of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America. The teams were selected on the basis of how well they met and exceeded the requirements of a request for proposals to build an eight-story, multi-use building in San Jose, California. The oral competition will take place on March 21, from 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. in Orlando, Florida, at the JW Marriott. The top prize is $10,000, second prize is $5,000, and the other two finalists will receive $2,500 each.
