High-Efficiency Natural Gas Heat Pumps to Provide Savings for CFLane
Installation is the centerpiece of a major energy efficiency retrofit
WALTHAM, Mass. — Ilios Dynamics Inc., a subsidiary of Tecogen® Inc., announced the sale of two HEWH-500-WS natural gas engine-driven heat pump modules to construction services firm CFLane. The modules will be installed at the firm’s Atlanta headquarters and will generate nearly 1 million Btuh of heat and over 40 tons of cooling for the facility. The centerpiece of a major energy efficiency retrofit to the building’s aging mechanical systems, the Ilios modules will serve simultaneous heating and cooling loads in the building’s retail, office, and apartment spaces.
“The mixed-use nature of the building coupled with much needed cooling during Atlanta’s hot summer months makes the Ilios units a logical fit for the site’s needs,” said Raymond van Beveren, CFLane’s senior vice president, construction services. Speaking about the project, Robert Panora, president and COO of Tecogen, agreed, “This installation is an excellent example of Ilios technology’s ideal customer application.”
