Summer Z-Wave Labs Prize Awarded to Smart Energy Startup Embue
Company helps multifamily property managers reduce energy and operational waste
MILPITAS, Calif. — The Z-Wave Alliance, a consortium of leading global companies deploying Z-Wave wireless home control technology, announced the summer winner of its Internet of Things (IoT) developer competition. Embue, a Boston-based startup focused on helping multifamily property managers reduce energy and operational waste, is the next winner of the Alliance’s Z-Wave Labs program, launched to support and incentivize IoT innovation on the Z-Wave platform.
Launched in 2014, Embue said its solution goes beyond the thermostat to connect a building’s energy infrastructure and deliver real visibility and intelligence through predictive maintenance. Embue’s cloud delivered predictive building management platform and its smart device app provide building managers and tenants environment control and knowledge about their units, to help lower expenses and create efficiencies.
