CHP to Provide Electricity, Hot Water, Pool Heating for Fitness Facility
System will enable cost savings
WALTHAM, Mass. — Tecogen® Inc. has announced the sale of a CM-60 combined heat and power (CHP) module to the Columbia Association (CA) in Columbia, Maryland. The 60 kilowatt unit will be installed at the Supreme Sports Club, the largest of three fitness facilities operated by CA. In addition to providing electrical power to the facility, the CHP system will provide domestic hot water and pool heating at a far lower overall operating cost than the existing configuration, said Tecogen.
Columbia Association is a nonprofit service corporation that manages Columbia, Maryland, a planned community that is home to approximately 100,000 people and several thousand businesses.
