Joseph Groh Foundation Golf Tournament Sets Record
Event raises more than $50K for industry workers with life-altering disabilities
The Joseph Groh Foundation set a new attendance record for golfers at its May 4 tournament in Carrollton, Texas. A total of 131 golfers participated in the tournament, which raised more than $52,000.
For the second straight year, the tournament sponsor was Service Experts of Plano, Texas. Twenty-six other individuals and companies provided additional levels of support ranging from platinum to hole sponsors, and 98 local companies provided items for the silent auction that followed the golf outing.
In remarks to the audience following dinner, Scott Boxer, president and CEO of Service Experts, told the group they continued to support the tournament because they believe in the mission of the foundation.
