CodeGreen Solutions Selected to Help Calif. Buildings Meet Green Executive Order
Order requires all large existing state buildings to achieve LEED-EB certification
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — CodeGreen Solutions has won a multi-year contract with the state of California Department of General Services to provide sustainability, energy efficiency, and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) services for over 60 buildings around the state. In response to the state’s Executive Order B-18-12 requiring all large existing state buildings to achieve LEED-EB certification by Dec. 31, 2015, the Department of General Services, the agency responsible for real estate and other business support for the state’s agencies, solicited bids from sustainability firms.
In light of the drought and increasing emphasis on energy conservation in California, “We are extremely supportive of the state of California’s initiative and thrilled to be a part of the unique and bold action California is taking,” said Patricia Lee, managing principal at CodeGreen Solutions.
