Monarch Power Granted Patent for Solar Powered Turbine
The turbine uses solar energy stored in molten salt for power generation day or night
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Monarch Power announced it has been granted a U.S. patent for a new turbine that can power, heat, and cool homes and businesses using solar energy or natural gas. The Hui turbine is the invention of Monarch CEO Joseph Hui, professor emeritus at Arizona State University.
Hui, aka Solar Man on social media, believes his turbine will be a “game changer” in the power industry. The turbine uses solar energy stored in molten salt for power generation day or night. He said homes can also go off the grid with the Lotus Butterfly™, a solar-powered cogenerating system with natural gas backup, now in the final phases of development.
