Oct. 22, 2014: Enmetric Enters into Agreement with Johnson Controls to Supply Plug Load Solution
Plug Loads Account for 25 to 50 Percent of Total Electricity Consumed in Office Buildings
BELMONT, Calif. — Enmetric Systems Inc. announced that that it has entered into a strategic supply agreement with Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) that will allow Johnson Controls to sell Enmetric’s plug load solution to facilities managers and building efficiency professionals worldwide. The Enmetric platform enables large enterprises to monitor, control, and manage individual plug load devices. This includes workstation electronics (computers, monitors, etc.), shared enterprise electronics (printers and copiers), as well as kitchen devices (vending machines, coffee makers, water coolers, etc.). According to the company, plug loads account for on the order of 25 percent to 50 percent of total electricity consumed within office buildings.
