June 26, 2014: Ameresco and GSA Join to Recognize Deep Energy Retrofit Project
Officials from GSA, DOE, and the White House Participate in ESPC Project Ceremony
FRAMINGHAM, Mass., and WASHINGTON — Ameresco Inc. participated in a ceremony with senior officials from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and White House Council on Environmental Quality to recognize the deep energy retrofit project Ameresco is currently implementing for the GSA in the National Capital Region. The $45 million energy savings performance contract (ESPC) serves two federal buildings just outside of Washington, District of Columbia, and was awarded through the GSA’s National Deep Energy Retrofit Challenge.
GSA Administrator Dan Tangherlini joined Ameresco CEO George Sakellaris, U.S. DOE Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency Kathleen Hogan, Agency-Wide Shared Services Chief for the IRS Stuart Burns, and Federal Environmental Executive Kate Brandt at the New Carrollton Federal Building (NCFB) — also known as the IRS New Carrollton Financial Service Center in Lanham, Maryland.
