Southland Energy Will Develop and Implement Energy Improvement Projects
DULLES, Va. — Southland Energy, the energy services division of Southland Industries, has been selected as Nolin Rural Electric Cooperative Corp.’s preferred contractor for all energy services projects executed at the U.S. Army Post at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Under Nolin’s utility energy services contract with Fort Knox, Southland Energy will develop and implement energy improvement projects. Through such energy projects, the U.S. Army aims to reduce the energy-related costs of operating and maintaining facilities at Fort Knox.
“Southland Energy is proud to serve Nolin and Fort Knox in meeting their energy efficiency and energy security goals,” said Nello Tortora, federal programs director of Southland Energy. “Given our demonstrated energy expertise and innovative approach through $1.3 billion in past federal design-build projects, we believe we can make a significant, positive impact at Fort Knox.”
