Feb. 12, 2014: Pennsylvania Invests in Alternative Energy Including CHP
Philadelphia Project Will Also Replace Inefficient Lighting and HVAC Systems
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett announced that the state is expanding its commitment to advance clean and alternative energy with the investment of more than $4.5 million in grants through the Commonwealth Financing Authority. One of the alternative energy projects is for installation of a combined heat and power (CHP) system.
“Energy equals jobs, and [these] investments continue my commitment to grow Pennsylvania’s diverse energy industries," said Corbett. "The expansion of alternative energy is resulting in cost savings for businesses and residents, new job opportunities, and a cleaner environment.”
