AGC of Utah Donates to American Cancer Society to Build Hope Lodge
Donation and Member Support Will Help Traveling Cancer Patients
SALT LAKE CITY — The American Cancer Society announced that it has joined forces with the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Utah, a chapter of AGC of America, to build a Hope Lodge in Utah, kicking off with a $20,000 donation from AGC and its members.
The Hope Lodge in downtown Salt Lake City will serve residents from rural Utah and the Intermountain West who travel to Salt Lake to receive care at its cancer treatment centers. The Hope Lodge fundraising campaign is an $18 million venture, and upon completion, the Lodge will provide 41 suites for cancer patients and their caregivers to stay free of charge while undergoing treatment.
