A cross-linked vinyl acrylic polymer, FilterFAB 3000 can be sprayed directly on filter media by filter manufacturers in order for the now-sticky media to entrap more particulates from the airstream, said the company. The adhesive dries quickly in an oven, minimizing additional production time. Its water-based formulation renders it easy to clean with water when wet, reducing clean-up time. According to the manufacturer, FilterFAB 3000 is a low-volatile organic compound (VOC), formaldehyde-free adhesive that is safe for the environment and for use in air filtration systems. It is pressure sensitive, so it can be used for laminating multiple layers of media to achieve the desired performance level.
