AEE Has Certified More Than 26,000 Professionals, 14,000 of Them CEMs
ATLANTA — The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) announced that its Certified Energy Manager® (CEM®) certification program has been accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) based on the International Standard ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024. ANSI Standard 17024 is the recognized standard for personnel certification accreditation.
“The Association of Energy Engineers is pleased to achieve ANSI accreditation as the certifying body for the Certified Energy Manager program,” said Al Thumann, AEE’s executive director. “AEE has defined the workforce for Certified Energy Managers based on thirty-two years’ experience and over 14,000 certified professionals. AEE strives to provide the highest caliber of certification program, which gives recognition for professionals working in the energy management field and to be distinguished as such through successfully meeting the CEM certification requirements.”
