MALTA, N.Y. — The Building Performance Institute (BPI) announced its BPI-3300-A-201x: “Standard for Residential Building Air Distribution System Energy Performance” is now available for public comment through Sept. 30.
BPI-3300-A-201x was developed to improve the energy efficiency of residential air distribution (duct) systems within the context of whole-house home performance.
BPI-3300-A-201x (formerly BPI-108) Standard for Residential Building Air Distribution System Energy Performance provides requirements for the energy performance of air distribution systems in residential buildings. The standard includes requirements for measures designed to reduce heat transfer and air leakage of the air distribution system using a whole-house approach.
