Course Teaches Building Optimization Skills
OKLAHOMA CITY — Rose State College’s Environmental Training Center in Oklahoma City will offer the first Building Operator Certification (BOC) course in Oklahoma starting Oct. 24. Together with the South-Central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource (SPEER), Rose State’s program will last four to six months, designed to teach participants competence in locating building equipment, distribution pathways, and control points; calculating facility energy consumption; critiquing HVAC systems operation; and sketching a facility’s electrical distribution system.
