ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) announced that it will host a conference on the AHRI Low-GWP Alternative Refrigerants Evaluation Program (AREP) on Jan. 16, 2014, in New York City. The single-day conference will take place at the New York Hilton Midtown, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, one day before the ASHRAE Winter Conference, which will take place at the same hotel.
The purpose of the Low-GWP AREP program is to identify and evaluate promising alternative refrigerants for major product categories, including air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, ice makers, and refrigeration equipment. Final test results will be presented at the conference.
