Home » Fujitsu General America Inc.: Ductless Heat Pumps
Wall-mounted, the RLS2H ductless extra low-ambient temperature heat pumps are available in 9,000- 12,000-, and 15,000-Btu configurations. They reach 27.2 SEER. By using a large heat exchanger and high-capacity compressor, the units can provide heating operation with outdoor temperatures as low as -15°F. The ESP (energy-saving program) is standard on these new Halcyon systems, and conserves energy even when the user isn’t paying attention. Motion sensors note when the room has been vacated. After 20 minutes, the set temperature is increased by 4° when in cooling mode, and reduced by 8° when heating. When the room is reoccupied, the ESP returns to the previous operating mode. Features include a wireless remote, a host of different operating modes, apple catechin and ion deodorizing filters, and low-ambient heating capability.
