June 13, 2013: First Passive House Dental Clinic Is Certified
Clinic Uses Nearly 75 Percent Less Energy to Heat and Cool
ROANOKE, Va. — Commercial Passive House consultancy Passiv Science announced that its recently completed dental office project in Roanoke, Va., has officially become the world’s first Passive House dental clinic. The Passivhaus Institut in Darmstadt, Germany, presented its Passive House certification to the clinic of Drs. Dickey, Singleton, and Lynch, recognizing the project’s leadership position among Passive House medical facilities.
“We’re excited about the project,” said Passiv Science founder Adam Cohen, “not just for the comfort, healthy indoor air, and efficiency that it brings the clinic, but also for the example it sets.”
