June 10, 2013: IAPMO Extends Deadline to Apply for Technical Committees
Committees to Work on Solar Energy and Hydronics Code and Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code
ONTARIO, Calif. — The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO®) has extended the deadline for volunteers wishing to participate on two technical committees working toward the development of the 2015 editions of the Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code (USEHC) and the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code (USPSHTC). The deadline to submit an application has been extended to June 25.
The USEHC Technical Committee and USPSHTC Technical Committee each seek members in the following categories: manufacturer, user, installer/maintainer, labor, research/standards/testing laboratory, enforcing authority, consumer, and special expert. These committees are assembled in accordance with the regulations governing consensus development of the USEHC and USPSHTC and the guide for the conduct of participants in the IAPMO codes and standards development process. These documents may be viewed at IAPMO’s Code Development Process web page. Within them, prospective technical committee participants can find information on the scope and general guidelines for conduct of these committees.
