March 20, 2013: ABM’s Bundled Energy Solutions to Help University Save $35.8 Million
NEW YORK — ABM announced that ABM Building Solutions has been selected by Wright State University to complete a campus-wide energy conservation project through its Bundled Energy Solutions (BES) program to lower the university’s energy consumption by nearly 40 percent. The project includes major enhancements to Wright State’s HVAC equipment, replacing light fixtures with cost effective LED lighting, and utilizing the university’s pond for geothermal cooling. Over the next 15 years, these enhancements are expected to save the school $35.8 million.
ABM said the goal of its BES program is to drive costs out of a client’s operating budget to allow savings to be reallocated to fund other facility enhancements.
