MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) president Warren Heeley, manufacturers division manager Caroline Czajko, and Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) president Steve Yurek recently met with CSA Standards president Bonnie Rose and members of her staff to discuss a number of issues related to the HVACR industry.
The key issues covered in the meeting included the divergence in Canadian HVACR standards from a harmonized North American and/or international approach, the current CSA process for evaluating the development of new standards, the funding models used to determine which standards move forward, and industry involvement in the strategic aspects of CSA’s work on HVACR standards.
