GLEN COVE, N.Y. — Quinn & Feiner Service Co. Inc. (QFS), a high-efficiency, custom HVAC installation and 24/7 service company, recognizes the importance of local businesses’ community involvement, particularly as it relates to youth and workforce development. The company is a current participant in the United Way’s YouthBuild Long Island. This free youth and community development program and alternative school was designed to address critical issues facing the region’s low-income communities, including housing, education, employment, crime prevention, and leadership development.
For its part, QFS is helping a young man from Central Islip, Jayson Carr, through mentoring and training for a mechanic’s position working on building and servicing high-efficiency systems such as HVAC systems. Training initiatives such as this one at QFS are exactly what the United Way program emphasizes, said QFS.
